Some of the things that Japan is also known for include Japan’s pop culture (anime, manga etc.), high quality products, unique cultural tradition, quality service, advanced technology, its food culture, safety of the country, geographic and historic landmarks, the warm-hearted compassion and strict discipline of the people, resolute spirit in the face of adversity, the unique aspects of Japan that signify each season and much more. Yet for all its beauty, much of real Japanese culture remains undiscovered to many people and continues to perplex those unfamiliar with the intricacies of a culture seemingly full of contradictions. There are an increasing number of visitors to Japan, and the reality is that many tourists still experience some difficulties when coming to Japan. It is unfortunate that many businesses are unable to provide proper support in other languages besides Japanese.
Many of the businesses in Japan have trouble when it comes to providing adequate support for their foreign clientele. Many businesses lack English or multi-lingual speaking staff, and in addition many businesses do not have websites or services available in other languages for visitors. Even for businesses that do have a website available in multiple languages, a large majority only take reservations by phone, and the language barrier as well as time zone differences make it a frustrating and exhausting experience for visitors to Japan. At My Concierge Japan, we make information about businesses available in various languages and act as a bridge between customers and businesses so that both sides benefit. What we do

Our team of My Concierge Japan staff members create websites in various languages for companies, handle PR and work to increase reservations and sales of products. After creating a multi-lingual website, the official website is continuously updated with new information, where our team can help customers make reservations and answer questions. At My Concierge Japan, we handle all affairs concerning communication on business dealings for companies, including requests for data about products and materials, media photoshoots and interviews, as well as inquiries into opening a store, consultations, and brand licensing. INFOMATION ABOUT RESERVATIONS AND ONLINE ORDERS

For reservations and orders for products online, online payment (using PayPal or a credit card) is typically required within 48 hours of the customer receiving an invoice for their order or reservation. This system is put in place because of the need to accommodate both residents of Japan and visitors to Japan at the same time. There are some hurdles in keeping reservations for seating, and maintaining stock of products when there is a high volume of reservations and orders placed at the same time by residents of Japan, and visitors abroad. To tackle this hurdle, a system was put into place to require payment within 48 hours of the customer being sent the invoice for their reservation or product ordered. While there may be some that are unfamiliar or unaccustomed to this process, we feel that this this system will be used increasingly in the future. With that in mind, we have worked with companies to put into place generous rules concerning cancellations and refunds.


*There have regretfully been an increasing number of customers that make reservations but do not show up for their reservation, or customers that place an order but fail to show up to pick up their order. This is unfortunate because many fine restaurants and stores go through a lot of work preparing courses or products to be delivered and in the end, they end up suffering a financial loss for these unfortunate occurrences. In addition to the reasons stated above, it is for these reasons that a pre-payment system is utilized.
